Oral history, 1988.

Interview conducted by Alan Cherry as part of the LDS Afro-American Oral History Project of the Charles Redd Center for Western Studies at Brigham Young University on 15 March 1988. Jenkins tells of growing up in St. Louis, Missouri and Gary, Indiana. He talks of the impact of the 1930's depression on his family, and describes his conversion to the Mormon Church and its influence on his present life.
